Step 4:

Spread a thin layer of adhesive on the back of the tile and press it into place. Make sure the first tile is level and use spacers to help keep the following tiles level.

Step 5:

Check to make sure each row is level before adding the next one. You may have to adjust the next row if the first was uneven, or pop the tiles and start over if the first row is way off.

Step 6:

Cut and fit the border pieces in the same way you did the rows of tiles.

Step 7:

Once you have finished the rows and border, leave the wall to dry for 24 hours.

Step 8:

Remove the spacers and apply the grout as directed by the manufacturer.

Step 9:

Let the grout cure for 24-48 hours according to the directions by the manufacturer.

Step 10:

Since the tub area is near moisture, you need to seal the grout to prevent the growth of mold in the porous surface. Grout sealer is available in the same area as the tile and adhesive.
