Some people think that all mirrors are the same. You will be surprised to know that they selection of mirrors that you can choose from for your bathroom, or just to have on the wall in any room of your home is huge. You will find that knowing about car mirrors is good too.

Whether you are a race car driver or just driving down the street your mirrors are an integral driving tool. In fact they are a tool that too often isn't used often enough. Here's how to set your car mirrors.

A race car driver will constantly glance into the mirror to see where they competition is and to see which side there's a vehicle situated. Okay you aren't a race car driver and your car isn't a race car but your mirrors are as important perhaps even more important to your daily driving.

When you head out in your car you enter into traffic that's mixed with drivers of all different skill levels. Those drivers may be tired, rushed, they may have emotional troubles, and most importantly they are unprofessional drivers that every day make mistakes which result in accidents.

So before you head out you need to do your pre-start routine which includes is adjusting all of your mirrors and fastening your seatbelts. Your mirrors need to be positioned so that you do not heed to move your head to see.

You may have to move your head slightly but if you have to crane, scrunch, or lean then your mirrors are not correctly adjusted. Checking your mirrors shouldn't take more than a split second of your attention time from the road.

Cars have three mirrors and there's a reason. Each mirror should be focused on a different area. By doing this you provide the most visibility and thus the safest driving environment.

Your rear view mirror needs to look directly to the rear covering your entire rear window. There's no need for you to be viewing your back seat instead the bottom of your rear window should be at the bottom of the mirror....
